change insurance companies or stay with the same one?
hi, i am currently 19 years old and drive a golf mk5 1.9 105 bhp. i passed my license in april 2015 and currently have 2 years ncb. my renewal is at the end of april but i am planning to buy a 335i m sport in 2018. i am a little confused right now as i dont know if it would be better to move on to a different insurance provider who is a no black box policy (3 months with black box and 9 months without it) or stay with my current insurance provider again and keep the black box. i checked the insurance on a 335i m sport for 2018 and it shows up as £3700 with bells insurance and bells put a black box in the car for only 3 months then take it off. so the plans where that this year i can change insurance providers to bell insurance and drive the golf for another year to build up trust with them so that the quote i got for the 335i (£3700) will go cheaper in 2018 seeing as i will already be a customer with bells for 1 year. on the other hand, i can go back with my current black box policy for the golf and then next year (2018) change insurance providers and the car as well but wouldn't that be more expensive as then the insurance providers (bells insurance) wouldn't have much trust in me as a driver as i have not ever driven with them before and the price wouldn’t get cheaper than £3700? i will hopefully have 3 years ncb in 2018. anyone feel free to give their opinion on this. trying to save insurance costs for my next car (335i 2009). any help is appreciated. thanks.
